ANNE EOWAN Vice President Government Affairs/Secretary
Anne Eowan has spent almost twenty years involved in every aspect of government affairs, spanning the legislative, executive and administrative branches of government. She
began her career has a senior policy consultant for the Assembly Republican Caucus, where she was responsible for analyzing and recommending positions on legislation in the
economic development and resources issue areas. Ms. Eowan was later appointed by Governor Deukmejian as Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce, Office of
Small Business, managing a $40 million state loan guarantee portfolio and several state assistance programs. Ms. Eowan then served as the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for the Business,
Transportation and Housing Agency, where she oversaw the legislative programs of fourteen different departments in the agency, including the Department of Insurance and the Major
Risk Medical Insurance Board. Ms. Eowan has been with ACLHIC since March of 1991. She has focused her lobbying and governmental relations
activities primarily in the health and long-term care insurance areas, working with a broad coalition of insurance carriers, providers, legislators and other interest groups. |
