The Benefits of ACLHIC Membership
O
ver the years ACLHIC has consistently sought the full  attainment of industry goals in California.  "Searching for a little calm in the storm?" describes perfectly how membership in  ACLHIC has proven to be a safe harbor for those who desire to gain the best interests for their companies.

Through its Sacramento-based staff, ACLHIC maintains direct  and continuous contact with the California Insurance Commissioner, the California Corporation Commissioner and with key administrative officials and deputies.  This working  relationship has been very productive for ACLHIC's member companies.  A telephone call to the ACLHIC office in Sacramento can produce answers to questions, which can  otherwise be costly and time-consuming endeavors.

A CLHIC's representative role in the California judicial process is also worthy of note.  During the past decade, ACLHIC  participated in numerous cases involving issues of importance to the life and health insurance industry, either as a party, or by way of amicus brief.

I n the Governor's office and throughout the Executive Branch, and to the leadership and throughout the Legislative Branch, ACLHIC is recognized for its excellent and highly credible  representation of the life and health insurance industry in California.

Each year, the Association sponsors a Round Table which  consists of a two day meeting opportunity for our members to meet directly with key members of the  administration, regulators, legislators and their staff.  Over the years, we have  had excellent feedback from our member representatives who have attended these sessions.  The 2008 ACLHIC Round Table will once again be held at The Lodge at Pebble Beach
 on October 1st-3rd.

In 2001, ACLHIC's Executive Committee developed a membership incentive for new members, including reduced dues  for the first two years of membership.  All of this proves that companies with a major stake in the California insurance market cannot afford to pass  up the opportunity for ACLHIC's  membership.  For more information on how to become an ACLHIC member, please contact Brad Wenger at the ACLHIC offices.
