Jason Gabhart
Legislative and Regulatory Advocate,

Jason Gabhart recently joined ACLHIC in April of 2008 as the Legislative and Regulatory Advocate, Health Policy.  He began his career as an attorney for the law firm of Rich, Fuidge, Morris and Lane, where he specialized in municipal law.   Jason then went on to work as a lobbyist for Griffin & Associates, a private lobbying firm in Sacramento.  In this position, Jason advocated on behalf of a wide variety of health care clients before the California State Legislature, the Governor’s Office, and various state agencies and departments.

Immediately prior to joining ACLHIC, Mr. Gabhart worked in Health Net’s Legislative/Regulatory Implementation & Compliance Department, where he was part of a team that implemented all newly effective California laws and regulations, while also monitoring the company’s ongoing compliance with state laws. 

In 2000, Mr. Gabhart received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.  He went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 2003.
