Ted Angelo has more than 18 years of experience in a government-relations capacity, primarily in the legislative and state branches of government. He began his career as a research aide, and later as a consultant, with the California State Senate Appropriations Committee where he provided fiscal-policy analysis of general government, state resource, and insurance-related legislation.

Mr. Angelo went on to work as a legislative and communications coordinator for two statewide trade associations, the Cellular Carriers Association and the California Housing Council, and later as a policy analyst with the Department of Motor Vehicles, where he helped facilitate the Vehicle License Fee reduction project. Prior to joining ACLHIC, Mr. Angelo served as a Legislative Analyst in the Legislative Office of the California Department of Insurance. He concentrated on Property/Casualty, Agent/Broker, Financial Surveillance, and Life and Annuity issues.

Mr. Angelo joined ACLHIC in January of 2004 as Legislative and Regulatory Counsel covering a wide variety of crucial issues. Mr. Angelo is a Sacramento native, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Information and Communications Studies from California State University, Chico.
